Originally from the United States, Warren moved to Amsterdam in 2004 with his wife Michelle. When Michelle began struggling with epilepsy and repeatedly lost her bicycle among Amsterdam’s thousands of parked bikes, Warren decorated it with colourful flowers so she could always find it.

What started as a thoughtful gesture quickly grew into a city-wide phenomenon. Today, Warren’s flower bikes brighten streets throughout Amsterdam and have become symbols of love, resilience and happiness.

About Warren Gregory

Originally from the United States, Warren Gregory never planned to stay in Amsterdam. After arriving for what was supposed to be a short holiday, he and his wife Michelle decided to make the city their home.

When Michelle developed epilepsy and repeatedly lost her bicycle among Amsterdam’s thousands of parked bikes, Warren decorated it with colourful flowers so she could always find it.

That simple act of love grew into one of Amsterdam’s most recognisable works of public art. Today, his flower bikes brighten streets across the city and have become a symbol of kindness, creativity and resilience.

Now you can experience Amsterdam alongside the man behind the bikes himself.
